An unusually packed week last week, but as promised I set aside some time to go back and re-do some of my favourite (read: most merchandisable) warm-ups from the past month or so, starting with this li'l fella:
I then moved on to the "punk rock mermaid" design I did for #mermay, which I wasn't very fond of initially and knew I could improve.
Another week of warm-up sketches! I'll be taking a break from these for the next week or so in order to go back and redo some of the older ones as proper full-colour images. I feel like a few good designs might go to waste if left as little black-and-white ink doodles, and I like the idea of doing a series of stickers or something on my Redbubble.
I've done a cool new T-shirt design based on yet another terrible pun, and a mash-up of two of my favourite massively over-referenced pop culture artefacts. The much sought-after and critically acclaimed "Hey Ho, Let's-a Go" shirt is available on my Redbubble as usual, and if for some reason you don't like shirts and would rather go naked you can get it...
As I've been busy finalising a yuge project that doesn't have a whole lot of drawing in it, I didn't manage too many finished pieces last week (just the one.) That should change very soon, though! Until then, enjoy another week of random sketches.
I'll be honest, though - this last one wasn't really a "warm-up"...It took me like two hours.
